QIF

QIF had been around for a long time and it is still possible to export transactions from many banks in this format.

Get this Prudent add-on to import transactions exported from any sources in QIF format.

Installing the QIF extension

Find qif in Extensions settings, then click on GET. For QIF imports with North American date formats, get the qif_us extension instead.

Importing the QIF file

To import the QIF file as transactions in your ledger, within Prudent, click on Import, then choose qif.

Point Prudent to the QIF file that you had downloaded and you'll get to a confirmation window that looks similar to this:

Recommended workflow

Download once per month. On the 1st of every month, download the transactions for the previous month.
